On 4/22 Tuesday evening, OLC attended the quarterly Meetup event “TiE Startup Pitchfest @DLA Piper” hosted by TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) in DLA Piper’s San Francisco office on Mission Street.

100 attendees of San Francisco Bay Area’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs enthusiastically gathered together at the startup pitchfest to share the latest innovative and fascinating ideas from their counterparts in the entrepreneurial community.

Even though the pitchfest was only served as a warm-up battleground for the up-and-coming entrepreneurs to practice their startup ideas, it was not an easy task to pitch in front of the 4 panelists who are Silicon Valley Venture Capitalists including:

Ankur Jain, Vice President, Nexus Venture Partners

Sunil Pail, Analyst, DFJ

Kevin Webb, Senior Associate, WIN

Sean Percival, Venture Partner, 500 Startups

7 startups grasped the precious chance to get in front of the VCs with an elevator pitch to present their business ideas and models, followed by an intensive Q&A and a feedback session from the VCs. The presenting startups definitely earned a priceless experience and constructive feedbacks at the pitch, paving confidence for their future funding and pitching processes. Car solution app “Truvolo” was named the overall pitch champion. Among the 7 presenting startups were:
