On Thursday, February 27th, 2014, OLC attended “Postmortem of a Venture-backed Startup.” The event was held at the Kimmel Center for University Life at 60 Washington Square South 804/805, New York City, and featured a candid fireside chat with Brett Martin on the rise and fall of Sonar Media Inc.
The discussion was led and moderated by Frank Rimalovsky, Executive Director of the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute later opening the floor to a Q&A for audience questions and feedback.
When asked by the audience how to keep your sanity when running a company, Brett responded, “I’ve chosen this highly volatile profession,” but the key is balance. Brett’s advice is straight-forward and simple, “Get a hobby. Find a girlfriend/boyfriend.”
