On Wednesday, the 12th of February 2014, OLC attended “Innovations in Digital Media” hosted by the MIT Enterprise Forum of New York City. The event was held at Chadbourne & Parke LLP’s offices located at 30 Rockerfeller Plaza and featured presentations by five startups including Dynamic Sport Solutions, Flight Partner, Prevently.com, Rallyware, and Wagepoint. An investor panel of judges rated the presentations and provided feedback featuring Daniel Burstein, Managing Partner & Co-Founder of Millennium Technology Value Partners, Ian Sigalow, Co-Founder and Partner at Greycroft LLC, and David Tetan, Partner at ff Venture Capital. Lori Hoberman, Partner at Chadbourne & Parke LLP moderated the session.
Dynamic Sport Solutions presented first and shared their offering coreDynamix (cDX), a customized rating that measures “how a player, coach or scout fits your vision.” Co-Founders Dan Hatman and Alan Dandar offer a tool that provides competitive advantages for sport organizations in team scouting. Prevently was next to present offering their one-stop-shop health website with a focus on nutrition. Founder Laurence Girard presented on behalf of co founder Kristen Faulkner describing Prevently’s core offerings which include health content, health products, telemedicine and personal health records. Feedback from the panelists included remarks from panelists including VC David Teten, who suggested to hone down and focus on a single offering. Rallyware was next up to present offering a platform for human-computer interactions that service companies ways to ‘rally’ around communities, actions and rewards through gamification.
