On Thursday, October 23rd, OLC attended NJ Tech Meetup 53 w/ Guillaume Gauthereau, founder of Totsy and of Sequoia Lab/Startup 101 hosted by NJ Tech Meetup and sponsored by McCarter & English, WeiserMazars, Morgan Lewis, Startup Baker, Phone.com, DotcomWeavers, Eisner Amper, Inflexion Interactive, Mission 50, and Stevens Institute Of Technology.  The event was held at the Stevens Institute Of Technology campus located at 1 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken, NJ and featured presentations by three entrepreneurs/startups including Shield Tech, MobileArq, and Retail Shopping Systems. The event also featured guest speaker Guillaume Gauthereau, Co-founder of Totsy.

Shield Tech presented first and shared how their product provides college students with a unique solution that uses a wireless panic device, partnered with a smartphone application, to enable the student to quickly and discreetly alert campus police of an emergency at the simple push of a button.Co-Founder Christopher Coppola presented their demonstration and answered questions from the audience.  For more information on Shield Tech, see their website: http://www.shieldtechinc.com

MobileArq presented next and shared their product, a mobile school directory to help parents communicate with faculty/staff as well as other parents in their school community. The last presenter, Retail Shopping Systems, shared their new product “Cart Magic” with us. Cart Magic, a shopping cart mounted personal display, gives shoppers an exciting and engaging shopping experience right in the store aisles, where the displayed items can be put right in to their cart.
